Screen printing consists in squeezing the screen printing ink through the microscopic mesh of the screen onto the given substrate. Depending on the amount of paint or varnish we want to transfer to the printing substrate, screens with different mesh sizes are used - this is determined by the number of meshes per cm in one horizontal line (the lower the number, the greater the ink transfer, because the openings in the mesh are larger). Screen printing uses a steel (or wooden) frame, on which the mesh is precisely stretched and glued together. A photosensitive emulsion is applied to such a cleaned and degreased screen coating, and after it dries, the image is irradiated from the mesh.
SPS ASTRON QX

The automatic 4-post SPS ASTRON QX series is fully servo driven. One main servo motor is directly connected to the cylinder drive shaft in combination with two electro-magnetic linear motors for the screen movement.
The SPS ASTRON QX comes with the shortest change over time in the industry. After entering a numeric sheet size, all size related machine settings will automatically move into the correct position, this even includes the sheet edge rollers. Thus, the screen set-up is fully automized / motorized.

ATMA’s range of fully automatic, ” camera registration” flat-bed machines with automatic sheet feeder. Pick-up thin sheets from the pile by means of vacuum pick-up carrier. Placement on top of the reciprocating print table and precise camera registration systems. 2 cameras can identify the fiducials, the servo motors within the print table will align the material to perfect registration ≤ 10 µm.

SPS VITESSA SL STOP

The SPS VITESSA SL STOP cylinder screen printing machine is engineered to meet the demands of the high-end screen printing industry.
The solid top frame can be extended on four posts, thus allowing direct access to the sheet stream without obstruction – for immediate inspection “on the fly”. Short setup times and high ease of operation combine with best reproducibility.
The press can be combined with the EP feeder (as on the photo) or with the advanced FP front-pick-up feeder in portal design, both optimized for pallet operation.

SPS S-UV
The SPS S-UV is a highly efficient UV curing conveyor dryer that can be combined with fast running SPS cylinder screen printing machines. The dryer is equipped with a “drop-down” belt segment in order to access the screen printing machine sheet exit side. An IR top with 3 medium wave twin tube gold reflector IR rods is placed over the dryer inlet thus improving varnish flow. The 2 m section contains 2 UV lamps with high power of 170 W/cm each.
