SCREEN PRINTING
Screen printing takes place with the use of a printing form, which is a mesh stretched on a frame. In the screen printing prepress, a net of a given weight is stretched onto the frame, and then a template is prepared. The frame of the screens is most often made of aluminum. Screen printing netting has traditionally been made of silk or cotton threads, but today it is made of polyester, nylon or metal. The most commonly used meshes for printing graphics have a density in the range of 21 to 200 fibers per centimeter. The screen printing mesh is selected according to the type of screen printing ink to be used for printing, as well as the surface to which the ink is to be applied and the type of graphics.

The screen preparation designer creates a template by applying a photosensitive emulsion on the mesh, which, after drying, is exposed to light. The pattern elements that were covered with the emulsion against UV light are rinsed from the screen. This is the most common method of creating a template in screen printing. High-quality screen printing adhesives that connect the mesh with an aluminum frame guarantee the durability of this connection.
The process of applying the ink for screen printing itself is as follows: the ink is forced through the mesh onto the material, either manually or automatically. Screen printing machines are undoubtedly facilitating screen printing and guarantee greater efficiency, repeatability and quality of printing compared to applying screen printing ink by hand.
